This gorgeous mama!

Stephanie came to the studio for a maternity boudoir session back in September. Pregnant with her first baby and it’s a GIRL! So, so, so exciting.

Q+A with Stephanie

Why did you book a boudoir session? What’s your story?

Trio of reasons: I wanted a non-traditional maternity photo session. And after my friend Mandy had her session I was determined to find a way to be brave enough myself. And three: when my partner told me how much he loved my pregnant figure I decided that was reason enough to pull the trigger. (And 4: Elizabeth posted that there were a few sessions left for the whole year and I wanted in!)

Going into the shoot, were you worried about anything?

EVERYTHING. Lol but yes. I was worried about if I chose the right style to express myself, if I would look or feel silly, if I would be able to take direction or look flat on camera.

What would you tell other women about doing a boudoir shoot with Torrid Boudoir?

It’s something you’ll never, ever forget. It was terrifying and empowering to expose myself in that way and see how others see me.

What was your favorite part of your session?

When we were done and Elizabeth had one more outfit / idea in mind. Those photos are some of my favorites.

What changes have you noticed in yourself after your photo shoot with Torrid Boudoir?

Well, I had the baby LOL. But joking aside: it changed my perspective on my definition of beauty that I projected on myself.

Welcome Miss Ava Carol Mae

Sweet baby Ava joined us earth-side on December 11th at 3:15am, at home. Weighing in at 7 lbs 8 oz, and measuring 21 inches long. She is healthy & happy with Mama & Daddy always nearby.
