17 Apr Why I Don’t Use Props in My Boudoir Photography | Austin Boudoir Photography
Over the years, I’ve had women ask if I offer angel wings, themed costumes, a partner’s jersey, or even a stripper pole. And while I can understand the allure of those bold, playful visuals — my answer is simple:
I don’t use props in my boudoir sessions.

Here’s why.…
The Power Is You
My mission is to help women see themselves as powerful, beautiful and worthy — without needing to add anything extra. You don’t need a theme or prop to take up space. Your body, energy and your presence are more than enough.
Boudoir with me is about uncovering, not covering up. Stripping back, not piling on. What I want to capture is the real you — because that’s where the magic lives.

Authentic Over Aesthetic
Sure, some props can maybe be cute. But they can also feel like costumes or trends — and what we create together should feel timeless. My style is grounded in authenticity, emotion and self-expression. When we ditch the props, what’s left is pure, honest and deeply powerful.
Real Connection Over Themes
When props come into play, the energy often shifts. Suddenly, it’s about interacting with an object instead of connecting with yourself. My sessions are designed to bring you into your body, to ground you, and to help you feel confident from the inside out.
That kind of vulnerability and presence just can’t be manufactured with a costume or accessory.

This Is About You. That’s It.
If you’re dreaming of a styled, pin-up-inspired shoot with lots of themed props — that’s totally okay! It just means we might not be the right fit. There are many talented photographers who specialize in that.
But if you’re ready for something more personal, more grounded, and more you — I’ve got you.
Ready to See What You’re Capable Of?
No props. No gimmicks. Just you, fully seen.
